Take a look at our Junk Kouture entry this year “A tell tale heart” here in St Dominic’s Secondary Ballyfermot.  Up until recently mental health was considered a subject of taboo, the newspaper was a core feature of our design in order to demonstrate the power of media to influence optimism and fear. The layers within the petticoat symbolise the layers of resilience and protective factors for optimistic mental health. The blind represents control over dark and light. The belt, made form plastic bottles is a symbol of how disposable life can be.
